Have large painting behind this oval frame but for clarity and the essential idea, only these two elements are necessary.
The rest of the image is just 'fat'

** Corrected  rookie mistake: shots too tight. pulled camera back and allowed scene to breath. Added bg elements to panels that were altered.

U have to admit your failures in life in order to move on. I failed the drawing test I submitted, for various reasons, but lets cough it up to lack of prep and bad execution. I knew I could do better so, I did.
For my own satisfaction, ultimately, I re-composed and drew the storyboards again. better.stronger. faster.

Baby face painting progression

Totaling 6 plus hours in multiple sittings to complete this exercise. Painted from ref. I made palette more vibrant than original, though. I wanted to capture the pout correctly and not overstate the highlights.
